LIFTED LANKANS

The Lankan players apparently deserve hails for their great effort in the field in every aspects of the game played. The plot was set to trap the top order Indian batsmen and unfortunately every one of the front end batsmen ended up in seeing themselves fallen to the bait.

The pick of the bowlers are Kulasekara who luminously varied his pace at the very early start of the play and beautifully bowled to get Sehwag play a cheeky shot, who looked devastating on the other end while the wickets have been toppling on the contrary in the other side.

Walagadera who was spot on managed to get rid of Gambhir who was unfortunate to deviate the ball to the stumps b y the thigh pad which he wore. He bowled to the dexterity and proved his profess by making Raina to play a shot across the line and the bowler didn’t fail to hit the stumps

The Indians started their act on high notes with Nehra getting rid of Upul Tharanga who has been caught out in the slips. But sooner nehra got him out of the pitch resulting from an ankle injury- the fitness problem which has been the main concern of the team for years. Eventually dhoni has to find an additional bowler to patch up the overs despite losing his key bowler who seemed to be in tune.

Dilshan queered the Indian pacers once again with his thundering knock who paired hands with the in-form captain Kumar sangakara this time. But found him back in the pavilion while one run short of his half-century who got trapped by Yuvraj Singh.

Succeeding that Harbhajan Singh bowled a delivery deserving a wicket which got high on the Lankan captain. The delivery sharply turned well enough to find the bat of his and also the hand of the slip fielder Sehwag.

The former captain Mahela jayawardene acted as a defending wall ensured that the Lankans are home with no problems whatever so. He played a knock deserving hails from the rest of the team and the supporters of his home team. It is nice for the Lankans to have him back in form as he didn’t shine to guide his team in last series with India.

Mahela along with Samaraweera played a contributing score to the victory. samaraweera departed sooner playing ambitiously to cut the ball to the third man boundary after he was able to do that successfully in the previous delivery bowled by Jadeja. But this time the ball was a tad closer and came on to the bat a bit faster than he assessed.

But Mahela kept his temperament cool and seemed to be composed enough to lead the team into the victorious path. He ensured so by making his presence in the pitch right till the closure. At the end of the day it was the Lankans show who outplayed the Indians in every aspect to lift the cup.

Hope India redeems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
